Collective Sensations of Sleep Sleeping Together
Drifting as if gliding through the blurred threshold of consciousness.
Produced by Daehakro Theater QUAD, 《Zzz》 is a new work by choreographer Hwang Soo Hyun that explores sensation and collectivity through the nature of sleep. Hwang situates sleep beyond the realm of individual activity and within that of social activity. Through sleep, in which the sense of sight is suspended, the work experiments with the emergence and reception of alternative forms of sensing. It also explores the possibilities of the theater as a place where shared experience can emerge.
